Fast Act - Phone Bundle Activations
A new improvement has been implemented for our portal
https://www.simcardactivation.com/#/ which aims to simplify the activation
process for our customers. Note that this process will use an internal account
for the sim activations.
Our customers will buy bundles which contain phones + pre-loaded sims. Once
they obtain the device with the SIM there is already a charge for it so they
will not be charged once the activation takes place over:
https://www.simcardactivation.com/#/. The customer will reach us through the
line: 1-855-532-7468 to obtain assistance. If the sim can not be activated,
make sure that the SIM number is correct and it is properly loaded into
support Site. Look up the sim using this link. You can also open this file to
check the Sims Assigned to the customers.
Troubleshooting:
- Go to the log tool and look up under the below log for any issue:
- Logs: IDCACT01 | 10.51.52.118 - D:/DebisysHost/logs/\fastactivator.log
- IMPORTANT: The sim will be only valid for 90 days once the customer receives the SIM.
- Make sure the Class is setup as: SimLocusGSMSIM
http://10.51.52.118:8081/EmidaManager/Metadata/searchproduct.jspx
This will cover all of our current activation products and will reduce the
required activation fields to the mandatory minimum. For this to take place,
the following process must be followed:
1. Product Configuration:
For the product requested, US Ops team will will need to create a new product
replicating the original product activation, with the difference that need to
be marked as invisible, then the product will be added to the merchant rate
plan.
NOTE: The new products created should be included, both in the master agent
and in the sim lock, to ensure that the Sims are not used by others.
2\. Web Activation Terminal:
Please note that for merchants under the Empower ISO, the terminal to be used
is below. Note that the sim association instructions are described later on
this document (point 3).
- Internal Merchant Info
- Merchant ID: 291043042695
- DBA : Fastact Merchant
- Site ID: 2015950
For all other customers under different ISOs, a new Fast Act merchant with a
Web Activation terminal will need to be created. There should be only one Fast
Act merchant per ISO.
Check this list for Terminals already created under other ISOs.
The shipping department will verify if a Fast Act merchant already exists for
the customer who purchased the bundle phones. If there is one, shipping will
send a request to usops@emida.net to ensure there is enough credit available
on the entity to cover the total amount of the bundle phones sales.
If there is no Fast Act merchant, the shipping department will send a request
to sops@emida.net requesting the creation of this new merchant and terminal.
USops will then follow the instructions below to create the merchant and
terminal. Every merchant account will must need to have a new terminal type
created called Web Activation. For the username, password and clerk ID enter
any information, for the Rate Plan
choose the one desired for the new terminal.
3\. SIM - Product Association.
For this terminal to be an exclusive terminal to sell from
https://www.simcardactivation.com/#/; it will be required to associate the Sim
Cards that will be used with the new product created, this association is
performed via the SS super user as seen below:
On Tools options, select Sim inventory Management:
The following page will appear. At the bottom, you can enter the Sim number
and select the product you will be associated with and then click on “Verify
and Process”.
A confirmation message will be shown indicated that the Sims were upload to
the system with
a bath ID.
After the Sims are uploaded, the inventory needs to be associate to the
merchant account,
this association is performed via the SS super user as seen below:
- Internal Merchant Info
- Merchant ID: 291043042695
- DBA : Fastact Merchant
- Site ID: 2015950
On Tools options, select Assign Inventory.
On the next page, click on, Select from Available Inventory Batches, and the
batch ID you have upload, it will be shown. Click on Assign inventory.
To assign the inventory, in case of not knowing under which entities the
merchant is, select “All” in each column, and and the list of all merchants
will be displayed.
Select the merchant and then system will ask you to confirm the site ID, in
this case it must be the one that was created for the web terminal activation.
Click on Assign inventory, then accept to confirm.
After the above process is completed, US OPS team will confirm the Sims are
ready to be activated for the merchant on the
https://www.simcardactivation.com/#/site, where will only ask for the minimal
required fields.
